Save on High Food Prices With a Cash Back Credit Card

February 15th, 2011

I know this sounds a bit odd to some, but food prices are skyrocketing and will continue to climb at the grocery store. High food prices can be curbed by using your cash back credit card.

Now of course as we always say you are going to pay it back in full each month. But by using it for things like grocery store purchases, which are huge by the way can mount up to significant cash back points up to 5% or more on your normal purchases.

You then have fast food purchases, another large amount of money when you add up all the quick stops you are making during a full month as well as dinners out with the family and friends.

By utilizing a good cash back credit card, this can mean at least a discount every month and a check back for those purchases just by using the card.

Many people clip grocery store coupons, so why wouldn’t you do something even simpler and that is just paying at the checkout with your Discover Credit Card or other 5% cash back credit card.

I think when you actually think through it and budget for this so you can pay the credit card off each month, that charging these high food price expense to a 5% or more cash back card is just smart.
